More music with less talk:
It’s about you and your event, not me trying to put on a show.
I do not play request from the guest at weddings. With that in mind, only the Bride or Groom may ask for request that is not on the approved playlist. It’s Bride and Groom’s event, the guest were only invited to attend. I will explain the reasoning behind this when we talk.
Things you will need to provide
A dedicated 110 volt power supply with a minimum of a 15 amp circuit, located no further than 20 feet away from the DJ setup. The setup area required is 10 foot by 10 foot.
If the setup is located outdoors, you will need to provide overhead shelter, a minimum of 10 feet by 10 feet is required for the setup, to protect the DJ and the equipment from the elements. A pop up tent will suffice but it must be at least 10 foot X 10 foot in size. The DJ reserves the right, in good faith, to stop or cancel the performance should the weather pose a potential danger to him, the equipment or the audience. Every effort will be made to continue the performance, however, safety is paramount in all decisions.
Provide for the DJ being able to have access to the facility where the event is taking place, at least 3 hours before the engagement begins. This is to allow for sufficient time to unload and set up all of the equipment and test it prior to the event.
Things to consider when looking at the price for a wedding or for any event.
Not only is it the hours performing at the event, it is also the time it takes to prepare for the wedding. Before the wedding, the DJ will spend hours creating your playlist and a unique script for the wedding as outlined by the wedding planner and Bride. The Dj will travel to and attend your rehearsal to see the venue, learn where to set up for the wedding and go through the practice ceremonies in order to be familiar with the event before the actual wedding the next day. On the wedding day, the DJ will travel to and arrive several hours early, unload and setup all of the equipment, perform, then breakdown, load the equipment and travel back home. For a wedding ceremony and reception party, the DJ will have 8 to 10 hours of time involved just on the day of the wedding for a 5 hour performance, plus depending on travel time to and from. This does not include the travel time and time spent at the rehearsal and for pre planning of the wedding (music playlist, ceremony playlist and etc).
If the performance is going to last longer than the agreed time frame, there is a additional cost for running past the original cutoff time. Extra play time will be considered but not an absolute at your event. This will be determined at the event, the DJ may not be able to extend his time for various reasons.
Let’s talk about your plans, and I will be able to give you a accurate price.
